Candle Safety Tips

Remove and discard all packaging before lighting any candle.

Place on a protected, level, heat-resistant, dry surface, away from anything that can catch on fire, No combustibles above the candle.

Some candles resemble food or drink products, keep out of reach of children or pets.

Never burn a candle unsupervised and within reach of children and pets.

Never leave a burning candle unattended. Extinguish before leaving.

Never fall asleep or take a nap while a candle is burning.

Do not burn candle more than 2-4 hours at a time. After initial burn-keep wick trimmed to about ¼ inch to prevent smoking.

A candle burning in a small room may smoke. If your candle is smoking, gently blow out the candle, let cool, trim the wick and relight.

Trimming tip: the best way to trim the wicks is to make sure candle is completely cooled, then turn upside down over the trash and use a large pair of nail clippers.

Keep candles out of drafts and do not place directly under ceiling fans to ensure an even burn and to prevent smoking.

Keep liquid wax pool free of wick trimmings or other foreign matter, which may present a fire hazard. Remove any debris after extinguishing.

If the wick is off-center, simply move the extinguished wick to the center with a metal spoon handle while gel or wax is still soft, but not liquid.

Do not use your fingers to try and pull a wick up in hot gel or wax. It will burn you!

Do not blow hard to put out any candle. You can blow pieces of the hot wick off and onto items in your home that can ignite quickly. Do not use water! For jars, do not replace the lid on while the candle is still burning.

Any candle container may become hot-handle with care and do not pick up or move while burning.

Discontinue use when 1" of candle gel or wax remains in container.

NEVER burn any candle all the way to the bottom.

Heat build up can break the glass.

If your gel candle has glass embeds REMOVE THE GLASS EMBEDS AS THEY ARE EXPOSED!

Keep out of direct sunlight or heat.
